HARVEST DATES

In the area of greatest vineyard concentration, between the towns of Gerringong and Berry, harvest is typically between mid-February and the end of March, the main variation being due to variety. Vineyards in the southern part of the region have harvest seasons 1 – 2 weeks later than those to the north.

The following table gives data from the 1998 and 1999 vintages at Coolangatta Estate which is located close to the coast approximately 10 kilometres east of Berry.
